Your Wedding Day
Your wedding day is all about you and creating a special day that you will remember for the rest of your life.
My aim is to give you the wedding ceremony you've always dreamed of. A wedding service that reflects your unique personality and style. A wedding that includes you and all your special guests - and that will be a delight to all.
The Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley offers so many different & wonderful settings. The choice is endless - warm, relaxing and memorable, surrounded by open countryside, vineyards, olives and a bevy of indoor and outdoor venues to suit all styles.I have been fortunate enough to be part of the Hunter Wine Country for 15 years and I still find it to be one of the most beautiful parts of the world.
About Me
My background in TV, Radio, Hospitality, Events & PR goes back over 20 years and I have a keen eye for detail and a love of "sparkle" which is why I excel at Weddings and Special Occasions.
I was inspired to become a Wedding Celebrant when my husband and I got married 3 years ago… It was the most glamorous, romantic and special day of our lives and it is that experience I draw upon when planning your special day. Together with that my background in the Radio and Television industry ensures that I deliver your ceremony with clarity and confidence.
The Process of Preparation
From my first conversation with you, right through to the after Ceremony follow up, my aim is to make your wedding ceremony experience stress free, interractive and enjoyable. I will guide you through the necessary paperwork, work together with you on your special service and provide general local advice and recommendations wherever you need it.
The first step is for you to email me or give me a call and from there I can tell you what is required to get your wedding arrangements started…
Initially, I will need a Notice of Intended Marriage (Download in pdf) (NOIM), This must be completed and lodged with me no later than one month and one day prior to your wedding date.
I can fill this form in with you. I can give you helpful advice about venues, flowers etc - and weather!
I look forward to hearing from you on 0417 680 663 (+61 417680663 from outside Australia) or email me on info@huntervalleyweddings.com
Creating your Ceremony
This can be a lot of fun and I am here to make it easy for you.
You have many choices - I can write it for you, we can write it together
or you can create your own ceremony.
Most ceremonies these days are around 25 minutes
The first thing we need to do is to make contact.
- Either on the phone or by email.
- If you live locally we can meet in person.
- A deposit will be required to secure your date and time.
- I will present you with a full kit of information to guide you through the process.
- Together we will work through your ceremony.
- Prior to the ceremony we will meet at your chosen venue or area and go over the proceedings and ceremony with both of you.
- Final payment will be due 1 week prior to the ceremony.
- Most importantly - remember to email or phone me at any time should
you have any questions.
Ceremony Structure The Introduction should welcome your guests and contextualise why you have gathered everyone to witness your intentions to be joined together in marriage.
The centre of the service has promises, vows and the exchange of rings.
The conclusion of the ceremony confirms what has occurred and the formal documents are signed by you and your two witnesses. The bride and groom now seal the ceremony with a kiss.
Many couples choose a simple but meaningful ceremony and often include poetry, prose, music and songs: all elements that can be built into ceremonies to personalise them to create a unique occasion.
Although Marriage is a serious and solemn commitment, there is no reason why it can't also be beautiful, glamorous, spiritual and romantic, with words written by you, with or without my guidance; as required, but delivered by me to reflect the love in your heart.
Other Ceremonies/Services I Offer
As a Civil Marriage Celebrant, I write and conduct a wide range of ceremonies, weddings, ceremonies to re-affirm vows to each other, commitment ceremonies, naming of newborns and children and spiritual ceremonies and blessings.
Commitment Ceremonies
Although same sex marriage is not as yet legal in Australia, many couples like to show their commitment to one another with a special ceremony to affirm their feelings and dedication to one another.
Naming Ceremonies
Naming Ceremonies are usually simple but meaningful ceremonies that formally introduce the child into the family. A certificate is presented to commemorate the occasion.
